Fall 2005 - Present

Dartmouth Formula Racing - Vehicle Dynamics

This culminating project at Thayer School was a team effort.  This Formula Society of Automotive Engineering (FSAE) racecar was entirely designed and built by the 2006 team. My sub-team was primarily concerned with the vehicle dynamics of the car which also included creating an Anti-Roll Bar package.

Spring 2006

Computer Aided Mechanical Design - R/C Model Speedboat

This R/C controlled model speedboat has a dual out-board motor design. All parts were designed and manufactured at Thayer School of Engineering. Parts were designed using Pro-Engineer. Manufaturing methods included thermoforming, CNC, injection molding and vacuum casting.

Fall 2005

Mechanics - Remote-Controlled Trash Removal

This R/C controlled robot has the capability of navigating a complicated course of benches, chairs and ramps simulating an althletic stadium while collecting trash placed around the course. After collection, it returns the trash to separate recylcling bins. Robots were to be designed, analyzed and constructed to complete the task.

Fall 2002

Engineering Entrepreneurship - Campus Cruiser

This belt-driven bicycle was designed to allow students easy campus commuting without the heavy maintenance that chain-drive bicycles require.

Spring 2003

Thermodynamics - Sterling Engine

This sterling engine was built from scratch using the machine shop facilities at Thayer School of Engineering. It was used to investigate the thermodynamics of the Stirling Cycle.

Spring 2003

Digital Electronics - Morse Code Decoder

This circuit was created to effectively decode Morse Code typed into the button interface and display the decoded letters onto a monitor.

Winter 2003

Materials Analysis - Superconductors

The making of these superconductors was to investigate their properties while also analyzing the influence that altering the fabrication process would have on the superconductors performance.
